The Bible says, “For everything, there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1-2) It matters not as to when this happens to any of us, young or old, when it happens it is a loss that that leaves us all with a bucket-load of frayed and raw emotions.
There are as many ways to honor those who have passed as are the ones who have passed. Often, people find guidance and comfort in their priest, pastor, or close family friends. But other times, there seems to be no one who can lead and guide with an intimate interest through the cruel and unfamiliar journey of a funeral or a memorial service. The obstacles to organizing such an event can be overwhelming at such a monumental time in one’s life.
