Sometime between 95 and 96 AD, the Book of Revelation was given to the Apostle John by Jesus Christ while in exile on the island of Patmos. It begins with letters from Christ Himself to seven actual churches, which include commendation, criticism, and comfort. What was of monumental importance in the first-century Church remains urgent for us today.

The letters serve as mirrors to the spiritual conditions of existing churches and individuals, highlighting timeless challenges such as persecution, materialism, false teaching, apathy, and many more. In addition, Christ offers profound encouragement and calls us all to a place of repentance, endurance, and faithfulness. With each letter comes a promise of victory for those who choose to follow Him. He indeed calls us “overcomers!”
